Understand drawdown and loss limits

Distinguish overall loss, 24-hour losses, exposure and available balance with a worked FundMyBet example.

Overall drawdown: a fixed reference

At FundMyBet, overall loss is measured against initial capital. For the €25,000 challenge, the limit is 15 %, or €3,750. The corresponding balance threshold is €21,250. It does not rise with profits.

Strictly exceeding the limit closes the account. Reaching the exact threshold does not close it, but does not remove other stake restrictions. Another service may apply a different convention: the contractual definition matters as much as the percentage.

24-hour losses are not net profit

The daily limit is 10 % in phase 1, or €2,500, and 8 % in phase 2, or €2,000. It is calculated on initial capital. Realised losses accumulate in successive 24-hour windows anchored to the first bet. Profits do not offset these losses for this calculation.

Example: two tickets each lose €500 and another makes €700 net profit in the same window. The net change is −€300, but the loss counter shows €1,000. Confusing these figures may cause you to underestimate the limit.

Exposure is not yet a loss

Exposure is the sum of stakes still committed. It reduces the available balance before results are known. For this evaluation, the maximum single stake is €1,250 and maximum total exposure is €6,250.

An accumulator’s stake counts once towards total exposure, but in full on each event it contains for the per-event cap. Available balance, the minimum stake and other limits still apply.

Limits change after funding

On the funded account, caps are 7 % daily losses, 12 % total losses, 5 % per ticket and 20 % combined exposure. Percentages are calculated on initial capital.

The bet slip shows the selected account’s limits. Reviewing its summary helps explain a failure; a new stake or purchase never guarantees recovery of a loss.
